Brilliant service. Absolutely flawless. Needed transfers from Krakow to Zakopane. Flight couldn't land for over an hour due to fog, I had no Comms as I was still in the air but once I landed the driver was still there waiting and reassured me he was tracking the flight and that sort of thing is normal for December time. Both drivers were very friendly and helpful.

How to get around in Alice Springs

Public buses, also known as Asbus, depart from Hartley Street at the Yeperenye shopping centre. The bus service operates from Mondays to Saturdays, with buses leaving every hour and a half. For tourists, an alternative option is the Alice Wanderer which is a hop-on/off bus tour that departs every 70 minutes opposite Gregory Tce.

Alice Spring taxis are convenient for fast and hassle-free transport. You can take one at the Gregory Terrace, Visitors Centre. For a bit of freedom car rental is available. You can rent a car in Alice Springs online or at the airport.

Airport transfer options

Alice Springs Airport (ASP) is 15 km away from Alice Springs, and it only serves domestic flights. Qantas is the only airline that operates from ASP. You can fly to Alice Springs from all big cities in Australia, except Canberra. Flights from Sydney to Alice Springs take approximately 3 hours, while the journey from Melbourne to Alice Springs is 3 hours and 30 minutes.

Alice Springs airport shuttles run from the airport to the city centre. You can book your ticket at the shuttle desk, just outside the baggage claim area. Many backpacker hostels offer free shuttle service, as well. Alice Springs airport taxis are available at the taxi rank just outside the terminal.
